Some Brooklyn Bloggers Outraged Over Brooklyn Paper's Coverage of Guskind's Death
Xris Kreussling, the blogger who runs Flatbush Gardener, left the following note in the comment section of the Brooklyn Paper's article, The Death of a Blogger, about Robert Guskind's death. Kreussling, like quite a few other bloggers was outraged by the tone of the article by Mike McLaughlin.
are lowered to NY Post status by this article.
"If you were not his friend, you have no right to speak of him this way.
"If you were his friend, you would never think of doing so.

"If you haven't read the article, it's god-awful garbage. The Paper is
a piece of trash." -- Xris Kreussling

Agreed. It was pretty disgusting and disrespectful.

They have already edited out the more egregious text. Many others left similar comments on the article. They got the message.

Our news article is not an obituary, but coverage of a breaking story that is being updated on the fly.
In due time, The Brooklyn Paper and its Web site will run a true tribute to a man I admired greatly.
I would ask our readers to appreciate that we are putting aside our own emotions about Bob as we report the essential news here. You would expect nothing less on other stories. Please give us that latitude now.

Wow. Coming from someone who appears in the same newspaper weekly. Ouch.
