SECOND STREET CAFE CLOSING
Second Street Cafe was closed on Friday: there was paper up in the windows and it really looked closed for good. An employee told someone at Park Slope Parents that they were suddenly laid off a few days ago. They were given two days notice.
What is going on? Does anyone know?

i worked there after the re-modeling for the new bar. the problem was it took for ever for them to get their liquor permit and the bar was never had a feel to it. the people would always tell me they missed the old feel of the cafe. its true when they say "If it aint broke, dont fix it."

aw, bummer, i quite liked that place, although their recent renovation took all the heart and soul away from it.

That's sad. I had lots of nice meals there the past decade. The staff were always really good.
